How to Correctly Measure a Propane Hose

Updated 07/24/2018 | Published 07/23/2018

Question:

Trying to find out how to measure my pigtail hose length, do I measure just the black hose or do I include fittings at both ends for the correct length for replacement?

In order to correctly measure a propane hose you will need to measure end to end (fitting to fitting). The propane hoses we sell are by the foot so this may make it easier to determine what you need. It is also a good idea to get a hose that is a bit longer than what you need to account for any errors during measuring.

For example, the MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly part # 100383-48-MBS is 4' long end to end. I have attached a list of our propane selection for you as well.
