How to Wire Peterson Amber LED Clearance Light to Illuminate Only with Turn Signals and Not Brakes

Hi there, this is probably a silly question, but I want to use this as a clearance/running light and turn signal on a trailer that is wired such that the stop and turn signal circuits run through the same wire. Does this light have the capability to split those signals from the one wire and only illuminate brightly when the turn signal is on, or will it illuminate brightly like a stop light when the brakes are applied, too? In other words, will I need to use an independent splitter to separate those signals, or does the light do it for me? Thanks!

If the wiring is combined on your trailer for the brake and turn signal circuit, then the Amber Piranha LED Clearance Light # M353A that you referenced will illuminate with either function activated. This will not have the ability to split the signals and only illuminate brightly with the turn signals.
If you aren't wanting this light to illuminate with the brake signal, then you will just need to add a converter like # RM-732. You will want to splice this to the wiring at the front of the trailer. You will then tie off the red wire on the other end, and run the yellow wire down the left side of the trailer to the clearance lights and the green wire down the right side of the trailer to the lights.

I want to install M353A on the side of my trailer being pulled by my Chevy Pickup. Don't want the brake lights to activate the turn signal bulbs. As a life long auto mechanic/trailer tech I'm not clear on how the RM-732 wired the way you describe will prevent this. Can you give me a better explanation? Also I'm not seeing the written instruction or wiring diagram attachment on this site. THANKS
