For your 2018 Ram 1500, I recommend starting with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX2412 for most models. If you have the Sport or Express model, then you will use # BX2409 instead. Then for your tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Avail - 10,000 lbs # BX7420 which comes with the safety cables needed.

For your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will protect your factory electrical system while also utilizing your factory wiring for a clean look. This also gives you a simple connection on the front of your truck that looks nice whether in use or not.

For your braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This system installs easily and gives you a simple plug and play system for towing that requires no adjustment after the initial installation. I've attached a video to assist with the installation and function of this braking system.

Finally, you will need a high-low adapter for the proper tow bar height. I've linked a page to all your options and have attached an article to assist with getting the correct fit with your Motorhome.
