Thank you Conner. I will start ordering some of these parts today. I do have the safety cables and hi-lo hitch adapter. I do not have a separate braking module yet. I will need that as well.

The correct base plate kit you will need to use the Blue Ox Aventa II Tow Bar part BX7335 on your 2017 Ram 1500 is the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BLU74FR if you have the Rebel, Big Horn, Laramie, or Laramie Longhorn; part # BX1986 if you have the Tradesman or Limited; and part # BX2409 if you have the Sport or Express edition. I have attached an install video on each of these kits for you.

The correct flat-tow wiring harness I recommend for you is the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267. This kit comes with everything you need to splice into the lights on the tow vehicle in addition to the wiring harness that connects the tow vehicle to the toad. I have also attached an install video of this harness on a similar truck for reference.

The rest of the parts you will need to flat-tow the vehicle with all four wheels down is a set of safety cables, supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not already have these parts and would like for me to recommend some options for you please let me know and would be happy to do so.

For a supplemental braking system that is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Ram 1500, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251 if your motorhome has hydraulic brakes or the SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System part # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes. These are two of the most popular supplement braking systems we carry. Once they are installed they will be completely out of site. You will however need to use the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit part # RM-751461 for either system to allow the toad's brake lights to illuminate while the vehicle is off.
