The Blue Ox base plate for my 2015 Kia Soul is well manufactured and, with a little bit of mechanical skill, easy to install. It fit perfectly without issues. Brad from etrailer provides a step-by-step installation video that is outstanding and nicely guides through the process from beginning to end. Well the blue ox base plate actually fits my turbo engine. The Curt didn't fit as advertised.
Super high quality baseplate for towing by Blue Ox. Instructions, videos, shipping (one day!) and overall experience was awesome. A bit pricey but their quality and the additional support by E Trailer cannot be beat! BTW (E Trailer) the baseplate fits three different Jeep configurations but did not call out the Recon package. After looking at other brands which showed there's to fit the 3 variations AND the Recon, I figured it would fit and it DID. You should definitely upgrade to include the Recon Edition.

We installed the baseplate on our 2023 Encore GX AWD as well as the light harness and breakaway switch. A couple of items were incorrect but Royce corrected the issues with no problems.

2019 Ford Ranger baseplate worked and fitted fine for me. 73 yrs old took me a couple hours but took many breaks. Younger could do it less than hour I'm sure.
Also works fine with my Blue Ox tow bar.

This is my first time ordering from here. I am new to RVing and the website with instructional videos make it so easy to buy and instal yourself. The Base plate was easy and only took me about 2 hours to remove the old hooks and put the base plates on.
This was the first time ordering via etrailer, my only comment about the ordering process would be (in my case) I picked the item and it came back saying (with a green checkmark) confirmed to fit my vehicle, as it turned out in my case my Ram 1500 had 2 options I wasn't aware of.... I contacted etrailer and got a consumer service Rep (Kirsten R) and the problem was quickly resolved, working with Kirsten was definitely a plus and I can only hope her supervisor's read these reviews....
Unfortunately you do not seem to differentiate between initial orders and then parts you have to ship because the first order is incomplete.
Your agents were very helpful. They said they had put the parts for express pick and express ship as I explained I had a technician coming and needed them in 2 days.
However, reality is that you took longer to dispatch the missing parts and shipped with exactly the same shipping method as the original order.
Next time I will go directly to the manufacturer.
I like this tow bar combination due to the flush mounting of the base plates. installation was easy and I completed it in less than 2 hours.
The design is not optimal for my application. All of the drilling and the weld wire nuts were not very easy to assemble. I think the finished product is robust but it is not a job for the average DIYer. I would recommend professional installation.
