Question:
What is the length from the pin hole to the edge of the vertical flat bar that is closest to the pin hole? My car is a 2013 Chevy Sonic Hatchback, not RS. I plan on installing the the Draw-Tite hitch, part number 24878. I want to verify that this ball mount will clear the rear bumper in the rise position.

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the backside of the vertical plate is 2.39". I have attached a photo with the measurement for you as well. In order to determine if this ball mount will work with the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24878 on your 2013 Chevrolet Sonic Hatchback you will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the bumper. When we installed this hitch on a similar 2014 Chevrolet Sonic Hatchback we found this distance to be 4" which means it will more than likely not work for you without coming into contact with the rear bumper.
Instead, I recommend using the Curt Class I Drawbar part # C45024 which is rated for use with a Class I hitch and has a 4-5/8" rise. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the ball mount is well over 4" so as long as the rise will keep your trailer level then this ball mount is the one I recommend for you. I have also attached a ball mount help article for you as well.
