Question:
Hi, I have a 2012 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro with a Curt receiver, C11423, installed on it. I am looking for a ball mount that will pair well height-wise to tow a small Uhaul trailer. My receiver measures 9.5inch from the ground to the top tube opening. The trailer I will need to tow measures 18inch from the ground to the bottom of the coupler when leveled. Now my question is, which product would work better for my application with a 2inch ball, Item # C45014 or C45562? Or is there a better solution you can suggest? Thanks for your help!

Based on the measurements you took on your trailer hitch and trailer coupler, you will technically need a ball mount that features a rise of around 8-1/2 inches for a completely level setup. Between the two ball mount options you mentioned, the Curt Class II Drawbar # C45014 will be the better option, as it provides a greater 5 inch rise.
The highest rise ball mount we currently have available that will be compatible with your existing 1-1/4 inch Curt trailer hitch receiver is the Curt Drawbar # C45028. This Class I ball mount features a rise of 5-3/8 inches, which still isn't ideal considering the rise you need, but will be your best option. You can add a 2 inch hitch ball with part # C40018.
If you are able to alter the trailer at all, it's possible you can lower it if the axles are below the leaf springs by moving it above the springs. This will help to make it more level with the trailer hitch on your tow vehicle. For a 3 inch diameter axle, I recommend the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 and for a 2-3/8 inch diameter axle you will use # K71-384-00.
