If you have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C86HR, then I recommend upgrading your hitch to the Class IV # C26HR which is rated for up to 1,200 lbs when using weight distribution. The reason is because weight distribution is based on loaded trailer tongue weight as well as any cargo weight behind the rear axle of the truck. This can easily increase your loaded trailer tongue weight and put you beyond the max capacity of your hitch when using weight distribution.
For your weight distribution system, I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66560 rated for total tongue weight between 600 and 1,200 lbs. This will provide sway control utilizing automotive grade friction material similar to brake pads. You will need a hitch ball like # 19286 as well.
