Does CE Smith Bolster Bracket for Boat Trailers # CE10196G have Weight Capacity

Updated 05/31/2018 | Published 05/29/2018

Question:

I have to raise the two bunk boards of my boat trailer EZ-Loader by 5” to 6” and I believe that replacing the old 4 brackets/swivel assembies with your Bolster Brackets will do the job. However, I need to know if your Bolster Brackets will support a maximum weight of 2,000lbs total boat+outboard engine. I will also need 4 swivels and the necessary hardware to attach the 4 Bolster Brackets to the 2”x2” frames. Thank you for your assistance and please email me the parts numbers that I will need to order. Respectfully,

The CE Smith Bolster Bracket for Boat Trailers # CE10196G does not carry a specific weight rating. But since it is made from 1/8-inch-thick galvanized steel in typical use it will be over-rated for the application with plenty of safety margin. For your 2,000 lb boat it would work well and not be under-rated.

For swivel brackets you'd then want the part # CE10206G and then for U-bolts you'd want the part # CE15283GA-2.
