Question:
I recently purchased this van for my construction business as a clean fuel vechical which has many positives but one huge negative is that a back up tank was installed at back of the truck and uses the mounting holes for the hitch receiver. I need a hitch receiver I can mount that will not interfere with the tank. Will this one work if not can you recommend a hitch that would. Thank you in advance

I have attached a photo that shows where and what holes the Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75140 uses to install on your 2000 Dodge Van. If the back-up tank that you mentioned uses these holes then we would not have a custom fit hitch for you unless you removed the tank and relocated it to another part of the vehicle.
The other option you have would be to install a universal trailer hitch receiver that can install on the outside of the frame rails like the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-16. The brackets that this hitch uses can be cut, drilled, and welded to fit your Van.
