Have 2015HD LTZ Z71 Dble cab 6.6 bed 4:10 6.0 gas flex fuel 20”wheels occupants load not to exceed GVWR 9500 lbs GAWR FRT 440 lbs GAWR RR 6200 lbs Have not weighed vehicle full of gas and with nothing in it for curb weight What would be best fifth wheel to pull

For your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Z71 with short bed you will need to use a slider-type 5th wheel hitch to give you enough clearance for tight turns. We have slider hitches rated from 15K to 26K and with varying amounts of slider travel. You can see all options for your truck on the page I linked for you.

In terms of build quality the USA-made hitches that set the benchmark come from B&W, who fabricates entirely in the States. The options from B&W include their 18K Patriot Slider hitch # BWRVK3270 which installs using base rail kit # BWRVK2506, and their 20K Companion setup which provides BOTH 5th wheel and gooseneck towing capability in one package; this consists of 5th wheel hitch # BWRVK3400-5W and under-bed gooseneck kit # BWGNRK1012-5W. For wiring use kit # C56000.

The Companion setup gives you the ability to tow both types of trailers and also to have a totally clear bed for cargo when you need it. An install video is linked for you too.
