B and W Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendations to Fit 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 Short Bed with Rail Kit

Question:

I have a 2018 gmc Denali diesel with the factory puck system for the hitch. It is a 6 1/2 foot bed. I bought a forest river 286 rl. Can I get away with the b and w 20000 pound hitch that does not slide.

What's interesting is that GMC made the factory rail kits of the 2018 GMC Sierras like yours different based on the length of the truck bed. So since you have a short bed only the slider Companion part # BWRVK3770 will fit. The fixed hitch version part # BWRVK3700 only fits the long bed trucks.

You might be able to keep the slider hitch slid forward all the time though if your trailer has a tapered nose.
