In order to install the Replacement Tail Clamp Assembly # EX1035 on your Extang Trifecta Tonneau Cover, you will need to cut a notch in the channel, somewhere near the middle of the cover. You should only need to make a notch on one side of the channel. It should be an opening just large enough to both remove the original clamp, and also install the new one into the channel and then slide it back into position. A Dremel type rotary tool will allow for the easiest installation.
