Question:

Thank you Jameson. I followed those instructions and was able to install the part. The only thing I would add is that it's not necessary to remove the tarp if you separate the parts of the hinges and look for the screw on the underside. There is only one screw holding each hinge.

None of the methods are super easy. I'd recommend three though you have to remove hinges. This is least invasive, doesn't require cutting the cover, and also doesn't risk damaging cover.

Jameson - Thank you for the response. Can you tell me how many screws must be removed from the hinge in order to remove it from the end of the rail? I have tried removing the bolt that attaches the leg of the hinge and one screw that I could access on the underside of the hinge and it still would not budge. Am I missing something?

So I wanted to make sure we were getting the best possible solution for your scenario so I reached out to Extang to see what they recommended and they sent me the following: On the 2.0 they need to detach the tarp from one side of the frame and slide the side rail out to expose the bow ends. They can then remove and replace the clamp and reassemble the cover. I have attached the instructions for replacing the tarp on this cover which shows the first couple of steps they need to just remove one side rail.
