Question:
I see discussion of the four pole flat connector. Will the flat connector perform all of the functions of the round connector on my trailer that currently works off of my Ford F-250?

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56217 is a fit for a 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited without the factory tow package, though it will not be able to connect to a 4-round connector. What you would need to do is simply cut off the round connector on your trailer and splice in the Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM48110.
