Is Fascia Trimming Required to Install Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2008 Honda Element SC

Question:

part #c11699 for 2008 Honda Element SC states fascia trimming required, but there is no where in the installation that explains this. What does this require? Thanks.

There is some fascia trimming required for the SC model of the 2008 Honda Element when you install the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver # 75659.

@Russ Sorry for confusion on that. This answer was done about 7 years ago so it's hard to say what info was available but most likely we learned that there was trimming involved when we didn't think so before or there was a design change for the hitch. Either way I will edit it!
