Magnum vs Original SuperHitch for 2014 Ford F-450 Super Duty with Camper

Question:
I am going to be towing a horse trailer on a supertruss 48 inch extension behind my f450, with a camper in the bed. Maximum trailer weight on a really heavy trip might hit 8k. All my other heavy hauling is with a gooseneck. I wont ever use the 30k capacity. Is there any advantage of the magnum over the standard hitch in my application? Thank you

Aside from the additional weight capacity of the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum # TLF1002-30 over the TorkLift SuperHitch Original # TLF1002, the main difference is that the Magnum has a top receiver that is 2-1/2" and a bottom receiver that is 2". The top receiver can be reduced to 2" with the included reducer sleeve. The Original version just has two 2" receiver openings.
I recommend going with the Magnum for your 2014 Ford F-450 Super Duty since it has the higher weight capacities. Even if you don't get near the max capacities, it will be less stress on the hitch that is rated higher.
Either one will work great with your 48" SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1548, you will just need to make sure that the weight capacity of your F-450 is not exceeded.
