There were 5 travel trailer models in the Avion lineup in 1987 and all were tandem axle models, such as the M-25H. Based on their weights they would have used axles rated for 3500 to 5200-lbs.
The best way to select the correct replacement drum brake assemblies is to find the sticker or plate on the axles (or find their weight rating in the manual or on the main VIN sticker on the trailer) so you can match up the new brakes' stopping power to their weight rating.
You can also pull one hub so that you can confirm the diameter/width of the brakes needed and their mounting bolt pattern. Most 3500-lb-rated and 4400-lb-rated axles will use 10 x 2-1/4-inch brakes like kit # AKEBRK-35-SA which is a pair of self-adjusting electric brakes that use a 4-bolt mounting pattern. Axles rated for 5200-lbs are usually fitted with 12 x 2-inch brakes like kit # AKEBRK-7-SA.
Once you have confirmed the brake dimensions, weight rating and mounting pattern the electrical hookup is easy. Electric brakes have only 2 wires; either wire can be attached to the trailer for ground and the other used for the brake circuit.
While you are into your hubs you might as well lubricate their bearings. The linked articles and video will help. Be sure to clean out all of the old grease from your hubs/bearings/spindles and you can use a bearing packer tool like # ALL647646 to ensure proper grease levels in the bearings.
