Diode Recommendation for Taking Two Power Sources from Solar Panels

Hello, if I have two solar panels each producing ~8A max and I want to send the two feeds into a single solar controller which only has one line input, can I use RM-790 to collect the two feeds and then send it through to the controller with one line without worrying about backfeed?

The diode part # RM-790 that you referenced does exactly what you are looking to do. It takes two power sources and can combine them onto one wire and prevents backfeeding from either circuit. So for what you need this would work well.

Diodes like the part #RM-790 have two wires on the input side so that you can have two different power sources activating a single circuit (the out side) and not have to worry about the power circuits backfeeding on each other.
