This is used in conjunction with U-bolts to secure an axle to the leaf springs, which are mounted to the trailer frame. This attaches with two 9/16" diameter around U-bolts, which are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. It's designed to work with round trailer axles that have a diameter of 3-1/2". It's designed for use with 8,000 pound Dexter Axles, and works with 1-3/4" or 2" wide leaf springs, and it's made from a nice durable, thick, steel construction.
