Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 Honda pilot touring edition with 245/50/20 size wheels and tires. I was looking online and found this item: Code: TC3810CAM . I wanted to know if these would fit or would there be clearance issues. If those do not fit could you recommend another item that would fit. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w/ Cams for Wide Base Tires - Ladder Pattern - V-Bar Link # TC3810CAM are not Class S compatible, so they are not recommended according to your owners manual.
Instead, I recommend the Konig Self-Tensioning, Low-Pro Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - Easy Fit SUV - Size 255 # TH04115255 which are extremely easy to install by draping and then stepping on a foot lever. These chains are made of a high quality manganese nickel alloy steel. This is the same manufacturer that made the Thule chains you asked about.
For a more economic option, I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - 1 Pair # TC2323. These chains are made of the same metal and has integrated tensioners to control the fit of your chain. I've attached a video of this installation for you.
