Features to know about

Confident Winter Driving in Snow and Ice: Diamond Pattern Keeps You Moving

When you’re climbing a steep driveway or heading up a mountain road after a snowstorm, these Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains deliver the steady traction you need. The diamond pattern lays more chain across the surface of the tire than standard ladder designs, giving constant grip and smoother motion through snow and on light ice. Even in deep accumulation, the square links dig in to keep your tires from slipping.

Simple to Mount in Cold Conditions: Color-Coded Connections and Built-In Tensioners

When it’s cold and the snow is coming down, getting your chains on fast matters. These are made for that. The bright color-coded hooks and clips make every step clear, and the assisted tensioning system tightens right around the tire—no crawling on the ground or driving over the chain. The tensioners are built in, so you never have to worry about losing small parts in the slush. Just pull them snug and go.

Step 1 of Titan Chain installation showing tire chains laid out on the ground to straighten and untangle them before installation.

Step 2 of Titan Chain installation showing chains being positioned and spread out behind the vehicle’s tire.

Step 3 of Titan Chain installation showing connection of the cable ends behind the vehicle’s tire.

Step 4 of Titan Chain installation showing green hook connecting the yellow side chains at the top of the tire.

Step 5 of Titan Chain installation showing silver tensioning chain being fed through red channel bracket and clips to tighten fit around tire.

Step 6 of Titan Chain installation showing final hook attachment on side chain and rechecking of tension after moving vehicle forward.

Strong Enough for Repeated Winter Seasons: Manganese Nickel Alloy Construction

Frequent winter drivers will appreciate how tough these chains are. The links are made from a manganese nickel alloy that resists rust and wear far better than standard carbon steel. Each 3.7 mm (0.145") link holds its shape and bite through multiple seasons of use. That strength means reliable performance and fewer worries about breakage when the temperature drops and conditions get rough.

Smooth Ride and Compact Storage: Class S Design for Tight Clearances

These chains meet SAE Class S standards, so they’re built for vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance. The low-profile 3.7 mm links reduce vibration and road noise, giving a smoother ride than bulky chains. When the roads clear, the lightweight set packs neatly into the included reusable storage bag—easy to keep in the vehicle until the next snow hits.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

I purchased the chains to comply with the requirement to carry chains when traveling in the mountains. As I have 4 wheel drive and M&S tires, I have yet to need to use the chains.

by:

These are a good fit for my Sprinter van. Thorough instructions & easy installation. Customer service was very helpful in determining the right product for my vehicle. Great experience overall.

by:

etrailer.com makes it so easy to become an expert with ALL of your trailer and and traction needs. Watch one of their videos and you will know exactly what to purchase and WHY! With etrailer.com at my side, I now look forward to inclement weather.

Great quality product, informative description online, quick shipping and followup.

by:

I received the tire chains (TC2323) as promised. On time! Wonderful. I installed the chains to test the fit only in my garage. Installed very easy and appear to be correct. I have not tested using on snow or icy roads so I can't review how they perform or how well they hold up to 'normal' usage. I wasn't able to test the 'adjusting' that needs to be done once chain has been installed. Once I do some mountain driving and use them once I will return with a follow-up review. At this time I rated 4 stars for delivery, correct product and for ease of installation.

by:

Great experience and your site runs well. It was easy to use and you have great detail around the fit and installation of the chains.

I have not had to use it out here in WA as I have all wheel drive and grew in VT driving daily in the snow and ice. However I have them in case the need comes up and the ease of setting them up is why I did choose them.

by:

Very happy with chains, easy to put on, fit perfect, got us to cabin no problem.

by:

Just purchased these. Easy to put on and take off. Have not had to use these yet but wanted a set of chains in my 2 WD truck. I like the way these install on my tires, very easy. I’m concerned about the durability of the rubber chain fastener! Will it hold up over time? That is why I bought a couple of spares. Also noticed that after installation of the chains, felt that I still could not get as tight on the wheel as it should be. The fastener is only hooked on and had a concern that it could possibly become unhooked during use. Once hooked on, some mechanical fastener would make me feel a little more secure (snap hook or something?). Will see what happens after first use.

by:

I was recently (February 2019) in the Lake Tahoe / Mammoth Mountain areas. I'm 52 years old and I was traveling alone. I used these chains multiple times during my trip. Even in 5 or so inches of snow with icy conditions, I had no problem installing them and removing them. I shortened the Tensioner chain a couple of links to tighten them up. Other that that, no adjustments were needed.

I am so glad you can install them without having to drive on them first. I had no need for anyone to help me. I recommend them!! Especially if you're alone.

by:

Shipping was prompt (as it always is form etrailer). The chains looked good and were fairly easy to get on the tires (Mercedes Sprinter 245/75-16). They look like a snug fit that should work well on the available clearance. Since is is early Aug. it will be a few months before testing them. Will be making a trip to CO this fall where they may get tested on performance.

by:

Great chains and great traction for the price. They do tend to work lose often tho. If the rubber tensioners I placed on the back wouldn't of broke the first time I used them, I would order a set for the front chains.

by:

Haven't gotten to drive on them in snow. But out of the box, they are a pain to deal with. Spent 30 mins untangling the damn thing as it managed to loop thru itself, like a wonderful fishing line. I've had and used several cable and chain style snow-chains and these were the worst. Can't wait to put them on while it's snowing! Too late to return. Last rant is the "locking" mechanism doesn't inspire confidence as it feels like a chain you'd hang a picture with... Will definitely be using a separate chain tensioner.

by:

Great purchase. Fit my P245/75-R16 stock tires perfectly for my 2016 Tacoma. Although I did not have to use them on my trip, they came with a great storage bag and picture instructions that I keep stored in my truck so I never forget them. I had asked about the best chains for my truck and tire size and these were recommended to me. Would recommend to others in similar situation. If unsure ask an expert on the etrailer website! Quick response!

Perfect Fit, easy to install. Customer support was outstanding!

by:

I bought these tire chains just in case it was snowing the day of my daughter's wedding in Incline Village, NV in mid November. I drove trucks for 37 years and decided long ago it is better to have chains and not use them as opposed needing them and not having them. etrailer sent me the right product in a timely manner. They fit my car and are easy to install (tried them on in the driveway to understand installation rather than learning in cold, wet snow). I did not have to use them for the wedding but think they would perform well for my driving. I like the minimal clearance necessary for installation to save beating up my car!

by:

Fantastic product with low profile fit on 2015 Grand Cherokee. Easy installation. Make sure the GREEN link is at the top when you take them off, so that it lines up with clasp on the inside of tire for easy removal.

Loved these chains. Got them for my father-in-law who drives a 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid AWD. I gifted him some winter tires since he drives up north during winter and comes across lots of rain/snow. Ended up buying him these chains when I borrower his car for a trip to Big Bear Lake here in SoCal during Feb 2021. I would definitely recommend getting winter/snow rated tires and getting these chains as added security. We ended up using the chains for about 20% of our trip and even though you might think that's not a whole lot I can tell you for a fact that if we didnt have these chains we would have had to park the car about a 100yards away from the Cabin we rented and had to have walked in 20 degree weather. Cabin was up on a hill and road was pretty icy. Now Im looking to get a set for my 4x4 Tacoma. Friends call me crazy for wanting to get chains for a proper 4x4 truck but I rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
Side Note: I recommend putting the chains on and off a few times at home to get used to how everything works so when its cold/snowing you can properly put them on and not risk rushing and messing something up.

by:

I watched the video on the etrailer site, then put the directions on the ground in front of me and put the chains on in under 15 minutes. Easy to mount

by:

A good choice for our new 2025 Highlander Hybrid XLE with 18" tires. Have occasional winter mountain snow needs, and like the easier install
Chains came somewhat tangled, needing some patience to straighen our the first time. Expect less issue repacking them in the good carry case. A practice install highly recommended, as these are NOT the standard chains I had been used to. Seemed to install fairly tight first time. Just need some snow now. Happy with my choice so far.

I totally enjoy this snow chains... First of all the price is great... Second the case for the chains are totally awesome it has some much room that you can put more stuffs in it like working gloves and knee pads for travel in the snow again... Third the colors on the chains and the instructions were so simple that all it took me to watch the video demonstration and kazame ..! I am on it... Fourth the time it took me to put it on we're so fast that I timed myself on the first try... Less than 6 minutes and I wasn't even trying because it was that simple... I loved this design of putting on the snow chains that I bought two cases of it so that my family could use it too... I had bought others in the past and it was too difficult due to required when putting it on... Like lasy weekend I use it in the south Lake Tahoe for my family vacation and when I actually excited to use it to show my wife this is a great product to invest in but she just said, "it is still the same as other as she could see." Oh man, can't wait to prove her wrong... As we reach to the area where snow chains are require, I was saying to myself now watch your hubby be back in the flash... I told her to look at the other drivers that were there sometime before me that were trying to put on some Walmart brands (wire/chain) snow chains and as I got out of the car...once I Open the case with all the extra stuffs I put in like gloves and knee pads; the snow chains were on like in 10 minutes and when I got back in the car... My wife said, "what..?" She was in shock of how fast and quick that on her face the expression of are you sure you put it on at all... Cause the other drivers are still trying to communicate with their wives to driving forward over the chains and turn the tires outward blah blah... I said, "yep, I did." From that point on my wife never question me about the chain ... And yes we reach to Lake Tahoe safely and especially in great time too... Thanks for making this wonderfully simple and yet strong design snow chains... Peter -ca 12/1/2016 Thursday

Excellent service and a very good product. I had a slight issue and they handled it right away. The product itself is like a knobby ice and snow grabber, it works well. I have a 2wd and am considering a second pair for the front tires. Installation is straightforward. I always advise practicing the install multiple times at home because it’s a lot more difficult in sub 20f temps ;).

I highly recommend the product, etrailer, and winter tires

Ps buy a few backup rubber tighteners just in case!

by:

They arrived, they fit. No snow here in September so they are in the truck waiting to be used.

by:

I’m happy with what I see, I will update you when I put them to use. This purchase was my four or fifth from etrailer, it always been a great experience plus the items that I’ve purchased I always watch your videos prior to purchasing great information. Keep up the good work. Thanks Duane

I woke to an unusual 7- 12 in's. of wet heavy snow... Power out all over and needed to help friends get winter storm supplies, cooking stove propane, water, ice for coolers etc... After going over the Sierra's about a year previously with my son in a different vehicle and having to chain up, I got to see how relatively easy they went on and how they got us over the mountain. I live in the valley so this kind of purchase was something I thought would only come in handy in mountain travel something I usually wouldn't do. I decided to purchase a set of Titan Alloy Snow Tire Chains and adjusters just to be prepared as you never know what’s coming... I'm glad I made the purchase! Maneuvering around in the approx. 8 inches was simple and when I needed to go through deeper piles they got me there without a problem. Grown up in a snow country and having put on traditional chains these were so less complicated to install. Driving below or no more than the recommended speed made drive in a difficult situation easier.

Another feature that I like about the Titian Chains # TC2323 is the diamond...
