Question:

I have a 2017 Cherokee Limited 255RR and I need one jack leg. The GVWR is 11,575. I really just want to replace one side, the lower silver part that s into the upper half that is welding to the frame on the motor side. I have a Venture part # 142178 with serial # 9000-280341. I notice you have one for $117 and another for $277. Will the cheaper one still fit the same? The measurements seem to be the same but is there a difference on how the mount or connect inside? Thanks.

Many 5th wheel landing gear parts are indeed interchangeable and it is not uncommon to find multiple items, and at different prices, that all appear to be a correct fit.

Branding is not critical in this instance; matching the leg dimensions is what matters. We do not offer just the inside part of the leg but we do have both lead/driver legs as well as follow legs. Since you need the part on the motorized side you will want a replacement lead leg, all of which are shown on the linked page.

Note that part number 142178 refers just to the motor unit, which we offer, parts # LC142178 and # LG-142178. Again prices vary!
