Question:

Looking at a mor/ryde pin box replacement for my 5th wheel. I purchased a Demco autoslide from you and know I would need to install a Demco adapter on the pin box. I understand I have to install spacer blocks in the pin box when installing the adapter. Can you tell me what function the spacer blocks serve? Do they restrict any of the movement the Mor/ryde pin box is designed to provide to make the ride smoother? If so, can you operate without the spacers? Thank you.

For the Demco Hijacker Autoslide to work properly with a Mor Ryde pin box, the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Locking Plate for MOR/ryde Pin Boxes # DM6025 is required. This plate will keep the pin box from moving independently of the hitch head that determines the correct pivot for turning clearance. I've attached the installation details to assist.

The cushioning of the Mor/Ryde pin box will not be affected at all. If the head of the hitch does not lock to the king pin the slider mechanism will not activate.
