Will a B&W Gooseneck Hitch from a 2012 Chevy Silverado Fit a 2017 Silverado 2500/3500

Question:

I bought a gooseneck hitch for my 2012 chevy duramax, but was wondering if it would fit a 2017? Or do i have to get another installation kit

It looks like the 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500 use B&W hitch # BWGNRK1012. The installation kit does not fit the 2017 Silverado though. For your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500 you would need # BWGNRK1016 for the full kit if you don't want to reuse the head.

If you just want to reuse the head you can. The same head is used for both trucks. The only thing you would need is the installation kit for the 2017 Silverado 2500/3500 which is # BWGNRM1016.
