Do Rotors in Disc Brake Kit K2HR35D-8 Replace Hubs on Trailer and Does Dacromet Wear Off Rotor
Published 11/08/2017 >
Question:
Does the rotor slip on or does it actually bolt on to the hub, looks like it bolts on I havent seen any 8inch rotors which slip on over the studs on a regular hub, do you carry those or do they make them? Also what happens to the Dacroment coating where the brake pads are grabbing the rotor, is it rubbed off leaving the steel unprotected and left to rust?

The rotors included with Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR35D-8 are a hub and rotor assembly and they will replace the hubs on the trailer. They are compatible with inner bearing L68149 and outer bearing L44649 so if your existing hubs use the same bearings then the hub and rotor assemblies will fit. Out of all the rotors we have that fit over idler hubs none are 8 inch. The smallest rotor diameter is 10-7/8 inches.
The Dacromet on the rotors would eventually wear away but that is not a big issue because a couple of braking events would clear away any corrosion on them if that were to happen.
