Troubleshooting Timbren Spring # TDVRRT Noise on 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:
I purchased and installed the Timbren TDVRRT last spring to tow our tent trailer occasionally. When the rear end is under load, they work fabulously. With no load, which is 98 of the time there is only about 3/8 of clearance from bottom of Timbren to the lower spring mount. When driving over any small bump, pothole, or even just rough pavement, the suspension compresses enough to make contact with the Timbren and create a pounding/banging noise. Its absolutely maddening. In reading the reviews of the TDVRRT from other Grand Caravan owners, I dont see anyone else complaining of this. However, my local truck accessories shop who loves and sells Timbrens, says they have heard the same complaint from some vehicle owners who install the Timbrens. The van has just 90k miles on it, so I wouldnt imagine the shocks or springs gone yet. Is 3/8 clearance normal? I want to leave the Timbrens installed, but the sound now doesnt make that possible. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDVRRT on your 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan do ride close to the axle, but your photo seems closer than normal. We have had some folks mention that when unloaded the Timbren springs ride pretty rough and are really nice when loaded. As far as a banging noise along with the closeness of your axle, that makes me think your suspension may be not quite as nice as it should be. With 90K on your vehicle, you may be due for new shocks and possibly new springs.
