Question:
I have a triple axle fifth wheel toy hauler. The trailer dry weighs 15,725 pounds. The weight at the hitch is 3,525 pounds. Haul a 700 pound atv in hauler garage. Also have 100 gallon water tank. What tire load rating would you recommend? Thank you

Expert Reply:
Loaded you will most likely be at around 17,300-17,500 lbs, so for your triple axle toy hauler will have a minimum of 2330 lbs riding on each tire. I recommend going with a load E or higher rated tire to be safe and account for load shifting.
If you have 15 inch wheels, I recommend the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL304. These tires have a 5 year warranty and 2 year roadside assistance. They are rated for 2830 lbs each at 80 psi and have a speed rating of up to 75 mph.
If you have 16 inch wheels, I recommend the Westlake ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL401. These have the same warranty and are rated for 3,520 lbs at 80 psi. They also have a speed rating of up to 75 mph max.
I've attached an article to assist with common questions but let me know if you have more specific questions.
