Question:
what size bolts should I have with the hardware? It came with M10 1.25 x 30 but these dont seem to fit. it looks like the holes are smaller. please advise?

The problem you are experiencing is pretty common for vehicles that have seen a couple winters. What happens is the weld nuts get a bit of corrosion in them and that prevents the bolts from being able to thread. This makes it seem like the nuts are too small. I checked your order notes and you're up north where the winters are pretty harsh too so that makes this even more likely.
What you'll need to do it clean the weld nuts out so that you can thread the included bolts.
