Can a Synthetic Rope Be Used With a Roller Fairlead Superwinch Terra 45 Series

Question:

I was wanting to use the Roller Fairlead for synthetic rope for snow plow use to minimize abrasion of rope. Then I saw the statement for steel cable only, why is that ?

For your Superwinch Terra 45 Series ATV Winch part # SW1145220 you will want to use a hawse fairlead like part # BDW20089 for winches with a synthetic rope.

You can still technically use a synthetic rope with a roller fairlead like the Roller Fairlead part # BDW20055 but it is not recommended as you run the risk of the rope getting pinched in the corners of the rollers and becoming damaged.

In order to reduce abrasion on a synthetic rope you will want to use a hawse fairlead which is more geared towards use with a synthetic rope.
