Question:
I got a used trailer from auction recently and I would like to repack the bearings. It is an unknown trailer brand. How can I find out what kits/bearings I would need?

To determine the proper replacement bearings on your unknown brand trailer and axle, you will need to pull one hub and remove the bearings. There will be an inner bearing and an outer bearing. Each should have a number printed on the face. If you give me that number, I can help you replace the bearing whether it is with the same number or not based on size.
If you can't find the bearing numbers printed on the face, then I recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to take measurements of your spindle in the locations where the bearing and seal rest. This will give me the information I need to help you get the proper replacement parts. I've attached a photo to assist.
To pack your bearings, I recommend the bearing packer # L70025 along with the # L11390
grease.
