When you’re towing long distances in heat or rain, the Kenda Karrier KR53 radial tire is made to stay steady and cool at highway speeds. 1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Kenda Karrier KR53 ST205/75R15 load range C radial trailer tire with this 15-inch black mod steel wheel with a five on five-inch bolt pattern. This tire and wheel assembly is gonna be great for your stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. This KR53 special trailer radial tire or ST radial tire is low weight, providing better fuel economy on long trips. It is created specifically for trailers, and this is not intended for use on other vehicles.
The sidewalls have been engineered for enhanced durability and resistance to ozone exposure, and the computer enhanced or computer optimized wide tread design and premium rubber compound materials are gonna give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. Now as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST205/75R15, and the section width is 7.8 inches, and the outer diameter when fully inflated is 26.9 inches. This is a load range C, meaning it has a six-ply rating. The maximum load is 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI. And this has a speed rating of N, indicating the maximum speed of 87 miles per hour.
This steel wheel with this modular design is sturdy and corrosion resistant. The wheel went through a two-step finishing process that includes an e-coat primer and then black powder coat finish. And the beveled stud holes here are going to keep your wheel securely in place on the trailer hub, eliminating the need to constantly retighten your lug nuts. And the measurements of our wheel, looking at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat, and of course, as you know, the bead seat is where the tire actually meets the wheel. So that diameter is 15 inches, and the width of the wheel is five inches.
And this does have a bolt pattern of five on five inches. And as you know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, as we have here, you're simply gonna measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. The capacity of our wheel is 2,200 pounds. The wheel stud sides is a half an inch by 20.
The center cap is sold separately, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. And this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. Appear to be a good quality tire package. Went with the black rim option because of the rust prevention vs white, currious to see how it ages but in the meantime it will dress up a old trailer. Packaging showed up in excellent condition.

Great price on brand name tires. So many cheap trailer tires are no-name, where these are Kenda, which I have used on vehicles before. Shipping was fast and each one was individually boxed. Not sure how they can ship them for free but that is a huge plus as well!
I ordered the tire because the original arrival date was supposed to be Thursday 5-21-26 the day we were leaving for vacation. I ended up having to drive a couple hours away to buy the tire Thirsday so my vacation could stay on schedule. I will be returning the tire back. In the tracking info it had originally said shipped and on time then the date changed and also said on time. When I tried to call [etrailer]. to find out why I never got a call an email or nothing. Not etrailers fault. I looked online at what size rim and tire my Look cargo trailer would have and it said 5on5, so thats what i ordered. They came in very quickly but when i went to install them, my lug pattern turned out to be 5on4.5
Now im stuck with rims i cant use and will have to have a tire shop swap the tires ontoo my old rims.
