Weld On Spare Tire Carrier for 5 on 5 inch Bolt Pattern Wheel

Question:
I want to weld a spare tire carrier to the side frame of my 5X8 utility trailer. Ive found many in your catalog and in stores, but have not been able to confirm they will handle the needed 5X5 bolt pattern. Even though instructions say they will handle all 4 and 5 bolt patterns, they dont. Can you recommend a tire carrier for 15 inch rim that will accommodate the 5X5 bolt pattern?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For a weld on style spare tire carrier the best option would be the style commonly seen on horse trailers part # 413200. Due to how universal this carrier is for mounting wheels this would easily fit your 5 on 5 inch lug pattern.
This style of carrier fits through the pilot (center hole) of the wheel and then grabs the wheel by the mounting flange instead of by the bolt holes so the bolt pattern isn't important.
