You know that wobbling, sagging, and unsafe feeling that RV steps can get, and it can only get worse with season after season of strain and use. Installing a brand new set of stairs that fold down and touch the ground is an option, but that can be a larger expense and a trickier install. The Solid Stance can give you that added stability while being more cost effective and a far easier DIY job.
Fully Adjustable RV Step Support
Once the Solid Stance is installed on your RV's first step, bridging the gap between your steps and the ground is quick and easy. Set each leg individually by removing the pins on the front, choosing the angle that works best for you, and securing the pins back in place. Then use the spring-loaded quick release pins on the back of the leg to extend the feet down to the ground. When you're ready to roll, perform those steps in reverse to stow it away.
The Solid Stance features five leg adjustment angles, one of which is used to keep the legs locked in place and flat against the step while traveling. When set at the lowest angle and without extending the feet, it can work with steps as low as 5" off the ground. When set at the highest angle with legs fully extended, it can reach as far as 14"

Good product and certainly stabilises my Lippert RV entry steps. That said I am not surprised that Lippert came up with this product as the Lippert steps on my 2022 trailer are pretty weak and flex quite a bit and I am only 150lb
Have a 2026 Imagine 22MLE with factory installed Lippert steps. They made it easy to install with pre drilled holes to attach the step support kit. Works great so far.
This support kit cannot be installed under the front edge of a two step application like the video shows. It needs to be installed near the center of the lower step.

I have been using the old screw plate step supports for a couple of years,but I found them annoying to set up each time. The lippert solid stance RV step stabilizer is amazing once installed it is so much easier to stabilize the steps. You don't have to carry blocks of wood because the legs have a big range of adjustment.Just make sure your steps are at least 24"wide or wider. It is well worth the $$ .
Very well built product. The step on our new Retro had too much flex but after installing this product it's rock solid. I made one change from the manufacturer's installation instructions though. I installed it with the adjusting pins facing out. Its much easier for me to adjust this way and does not get in out way using it. Great product and etrailer's service, selection and prices are 5 Star as well. Thanks to Melissa I was able to get this installed day before we left for vacation.

This step stabilizer was just what we needed to aid in climbing our rv steps.

Installed it myself in about 10 minutes (after reading the directions)! Seems to do what it's supposed to do. Wife is very pleased that the steps are more stable. Installed on Lippert aluminum steps.

Great product, like it says it is solid! Like a rock, wished I had had this 3 years ago been fighting with another product that only worked at home the legend were too long to use at most campgrounds but this is the ticket!!!!! The first pics are what I had the rest are after I installed the Lippert ones
The first one, the box was empty when I received it 11 days later. E trailer sent me another one and had it in 3 days. Works very well for stability for my camper steps. I was very pleased with customer service.
These are great. They greatly reduce the rocking of the camper when someone uses the step. The only minor issue is the dowel pin "keeper" that attaches the dowels to the lanyards. Cheapest wire loops they could use. This lack of quality wire doesn't prevent them from working.

The step supports work great, they are very adjustable and have helped at many camping locations. I would buy them again for another camper.
Does a good job. It makes the steps really solid and installation was easy
My husband and I love the Solid Stance step support kit we put on our 2018 Rockwood fifth wheel. My husband weighs 235 and every time he would step on the step we could feel the camper move. With this Solid Stance support step kit it gives it a lot more stability. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great, works exactly for what I need
The lippert sturdy stance it works okay. It was built for campers with a two-step pull out, I have a fifth wheel with a three-step pull out and I was still able to apply it. I have had issues with the pins rusting so I have to keep after those. Keeping them clean and using a little silicone spray on them would help that if anybody is having the same issue. I'm satisfied with it did what it was supposed to do and it works.
The unit is fairly solid and easy to setup. And its a world of difference having a solid step once you get all setup. My only gripe is that I only had a month on it, when both of the little steel balls fell out of the pins. The pins still hold, but the have no balls.

Its not really an issue. I mean, I wish the thing didnt fall apart... but I will lose no sleep over it. Its just a pin - Ill find a new one someday. There are two of these pins on each of the down adjustable legs. The steel ball at the end is recessed into the shaft, and there is a tiny spring behind it. The ball keeps the pin from falling out as you roll down the highway, and the legs are in the stowed position.

I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer and they said that you might be able to purchase a new leg extension pin from their parts department. I will email you with the phone number to contact. You would need the LCI item number, and could provide pricing for a new pin.
Installed in 30 minutes with no problems. Stairs are strong and solid now. Great product.
