Does Curt Trailer Hitch # C15302 Have Same Ground Clearance as Factory Hitch
Updated 08/28/2017 | Published 08/27/2017 >
Question:
Im in need of a new hitch receiver for my 2007 silverado 2500HD classic with a 6.5foot bed. Im looking at the Curt C15302. Looking at the pictures, it looks like the receiver may be a bit lower than the factory receiver? I was wondering if there was a way to know if it has the same hitch height as stock or if its actually lower. Trying to figure out what ball mount Ill need because Im planning on getting a stronger one at the same time. Currently using an 8inch , just looking to see if I should get another 8inch or if Ill need a different . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you check out the picture I attached you can see that the hitch opening for the Curt # C15302 that you referenced tucks right up under the rear bumpers so it would give you the exact same ground clearance as your current hitch. Which means your current ball mount would work well too.
