We have a 2010 open range 337 rls and we need to replace the landing gear near the motor. What type of landing gear?

It sounds like you need a replacement driver leg for the landing gear on your 2010 Open Range M-337RLS 5th wheel trailer. The driver/lead leg is the one with the motor and gearbox attached; the other leg is called the follow leg. Replacement driver legs are shown on the linked page.
You will want to try to find a manufacturer name and/or part number on the original jack leg if you can since this will simplify identifying the replacement. One of the most commonly used legs is part # LG-179013 which has an outer tube length of 29-1/2-inches.
The weld stops on the outer tube, that fit against the brackets mounted on the trailer to hole it in place, measure 15-1/2-inches inside to inside and 17-1/2-inches outside to outside. You will want to ensure the new part has the same overall tube length and weld stop spacing as your original. Please refer to the linked diagram.
