i was wondering if the kit for the 2000 ford f-350 would work on a 2002 ford f-350. i need the wiring harness pictured in that for my truck and was curious if it would fit year to year.

Expert Reply:
The Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, # 118243, will not fit the 2002 Ford F-350. For the 2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty, it is a hardwire situation. If the truck came with a 4-Way flat trailer connector, you will need to add part # 37185. The 4-Way plugs into the back of it and the remaining 4 wires need to be hardwired.
White grounds to the truck frame
Purple attaches to the reverse light circuit
Blue attaches to blue wire of a brake controller
Black attaches to positive battery terminal via a 40 amp circuit breaker # PK54540
To make the blue and black wire connections, an additional length of wire will be needed. About 20 feet (enter quantity of 20) of # 10-2-1.
