Question:
I have a 2012 Kia Sorento SX V6 without tow package. Your website shows two wiring harnesses that are compatible, 56146KIT and C59236. What is the difference? is one better than the other?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Both of the Curt trailer wiring harnesses that are a fit for your 2012 Kia Sorento are universal kits. The difference is the part # C59236 is a newer designed converter box and the part # 56146KIT uses a slightly older design.
Another key difference is the # C59236 has a higher amperage rating at 5 amps for each stop/turn signal and 7.5 for the running lights whereas the part # C59496 is lower at 3 and 6 amps respectively.
Because of that I would go with the part # C59236.
