Hi there - hoping you all can help me. I have a Wells Cargo trailer to haul dirt bikes. The tongue jack was bent because - you guessed it - I take it on bumpy dirt roads! The unit I have is 11inch on top of the bracket, 9inch below when retracted, and 24inch below the bracket when extended. Looking for something with that is shorter below the bracket when retracted so it doesnt get dinged on uneven roads. But, I need the same or longer extension to keep it level when parked on a slope. On top it can be much higher - nothing there but air. Load capacity isnt much at the tongue. 1000 pounds would do it but would go higher if need be to meet my other criteria. Ive been searching online for hours.

We do have a large amount of A-Frame jacks available that will work nicely on your enclosed Wells Cargo Trailer.
The closest option I could find for providing a shorter retracted height while maintaining the extended height of your existing jack is the Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack - Topwind # BD155028. This jack has a bracket height of 8-3/8 inches when retracted. The bracket height is then 23-3/8 inches when fully extended, offering a total lift of 15 inches. It has a outer tube diameter of 2-1/4 inches, so you will want to make sure this will fit on your trailer. The 2,000 pound capacity is more than you need, but will allow the jack not to work as hard, which will generally result in a longer lifespan.
For a footplate you can use # BD500190.
When looking for a trailer jack that has a shorter retracted height like you are needing, the total extended height is going to be reduced as a result. This option is the closest product we have to keep you within the needed extended height when leveling the trailer on uneven ground.
