Rockstar Heat Shield Recommendation for Rock Tamer Mud Flaps on 2015 GMC Sierra 3500
Updated 08/03/2017 | Published 08/02/2017 >
Question:
The Rockstar website says the heat shield is for non-GM vehicles. I asked them via chat why and they responded that did not know. Do you know? I have a 2015 GMC 3500 Duramax and I am concerned about the exhaust heat on the receiver mount mud flaps melting because of the way the exhaust pipe exits towards the rear.

I looked up where the exhaust tailpipe is on a 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 and it would point basically right on a set of Rock Tamer mudflaps if they were installed. I would highly recommend going with the Heat Shield for Access Rockstar Mud Flaps part # A80807 with your truck.
I can't imagine why they wouldn't recommend this for a GM truck but it's going to be your best option.
