Hello, Looking for a hitch for my 2009 Yaris 5-door Hatchback. What is the difference between the Curt C11050 and C11480? The C11480 costs more. Is it a newer/improved design?

Curt trailer hitch # C11480 actually will replace C11050. Hitch # C11480 is the newer design and the model I recommend for you due to slight design changes.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.

Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
