Solution for Older Yakima Spare Time Bike Rack that Mounting Plate Wont Fit Wrangler

Question:
I have a Spare Time Model 2598 and a 2011 wrangler soft top the Mounting plate does not line up with the adapter plate the top bolts line up but the bottom bolt does not any suggestions.

I spoke with my contact at Yakima and they informed me that the part you need is the # 8880578. You have an older version of the Yakima Spare Time which had issues fitting some of the Wranglers and that is why they came out with the part # 8880578.
