Worked as promised. Easy install. We use it for our Kuat bike rack. If you need it for your ID.4 (AWD) get it.
Perfect fit and 10 minute install!
Bolted right on to our 2022 VW ID4. We use it to tow our 10000lbs. trailer almost daily.. kidding but makes the 2" bike rack work no problem.
One year in and no issues. Installed it myself, it was super easy. I haven't towed anything but there is often a bike rack on the hitch.
Very easy to install. Purchased to replace smaller smaller receiver that came on my '25 ID4. Ten minute swap.

It's been 1 year since I purchased and installed this on my 2022 VW ID.4. The car with a 1 1/4" receiver which in my opinion is mostly useless. I don't tow with this car but I do use my 4 bike racks and feel confident with the 2" receiver instead of a silly adapter. Installation was very quick & easy.
Easy install good solid product. Took me longer to find the socket than to remove factory hitch and install this.

This was a breeze to install, just 4 bolts on our VW ID4 with factory towing package. I swapped out the 1.25 inch with the 2 inch, same bolts were reused. Just needed a 5/8 socket and a torque wrench to get it tightened to spec.
It fit the ID4 perfect.

This is a great upgrade to my 2022 Volkswagen ID four that came with an inch and a quarter receiver. The 2 inch receiver fits so many more things. The receiver arrived when it was expected and it was very simple to install, four bolts.
Very easy bolt-on installation (for VW ID.4) using previous bolts. Coating is good, like most Curt products. NOTE: This does NOT increase your towing capacity! The ID.4 has a significantly lower towing and tongue weight than the hitch itself, go by the vehicle stats.
Etrailer awesome as always, this item was out of stock when I ordered and they contacted me right away with several different options in case I was in a hurry. I wasn't, so waited just a couple extra days for it to get back in stock and they sent it to me as soon as they could. Always awesome communication and service.
Perfect fit for the ID.4, replacing the factory towing package 1-1/4" receiver. Very easy to install: just take out 4 bolts, put this in place, and put the 4 bolts back in. (Note the nuts are welded on to the inside of the bumper, so you don't have to worry about them falling off.) Only thing I would change is to have matte paint on it instead of glossy paint so it doesn't stand out so much under the car (the bumper cover is matte black plastic).
Having a 2" receiver makes a lot more options available, since 2" is a lot more common than 1-1/4". Given the 2700 lbs towing rating of the AWD ID.4, having 1-1/4" never really made sense to me anyway.
