Will Yakima SpareRide Bike Carrier # Y02599 Fit 2005 Toyota RAV4

Question:

Hi, will this work with a 2005 rav4? In the customer reviews i see it says would work with post 2005 rav4s. Is that correct or else it would still work with 2005 rav4 as well? Thanks

The Yakima SpareTime Bike Carrier, part # Y02599 will work great on your 2005 RAV4.

This bike carrier can carry 2 bikes that weigh up to 35-lbs each. This has a universal mounting plate and includes 2 extensions in case you have wider tires. The carrier folds down for easy storage when not in use and it even has a handy bottle opener on the end of each arm.

If you are carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance. I have attached a product review video for this adapter bar.
