Question:

I am looking to replace the bearings on my boat trailer. I believe it is a 1994 model Shorelandr. Frame Bundle r1820s. Could you point me in the right direction for the replacement trailer hub replacement?

To determine which bearings are used on your 1994 Shoreland'r Boat Trailer, you will need take the hub off and check for the numbers that should be stamped onto the bearings themselves. You can also measure the inner diameter of the bearings or the spindle at the bearing seats if you cannot locate the numbers. I have attached an image that shows where the spindle measurements should be taken. I recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 for exact measurements.

For replacement hubs, you will also need to determine the axle capacity and bolt pattern that you are needing. I have attached an article that will help you determine the bolt pattern on your hubs.

For example, the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-K uses the # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing. It is designed for 3,500 pound axles and has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
