Replacement Bearing Kit for 3,500 lb Axle on Shorelander Trailer

Question:

I need grease seals for my shorelander trailer with a 3500# tapered axle. Kit BK2-100 has the correct bearings but the grease seal might not be right. The problem that I see is that Shorelander uses a spindle sleeve that has an OD of 1.749. The grease seal that Shorelander specifies is 1.741 x 2.561 The grease seal included in the Bk2-100 kit measures 1.719 x 2.565 Will the grease seal included in your kit work with the Shorelander spindle sleeve or will it be too tight?

The grease seal that comes with the Hub Bearing Kit for Lippert, Dexter, and Al-Ko Axles - 3,500 lb with #84 Spindles # BK2-100 will definitely work for your application.

You want grease seals to be as close to matching specs as possible, but a difference of 0.008" won't be an issue - it's actually better that it is slightly smaller than it would be for it to be slightly bigger.
