Question:
Im looking to buy a Blue Ox Hitch Extender for Tow Bars - 2inch Hitches - 6-3/4inch or 8-3/4inch Extension and i read that its not for towning a trailer. is this true? im going to towing a travel trailer with a 7500 gvw and i was hoping that going with a 10000 lb extension i would be able to use is to tow with. would i be able to use this product or not?

The Blue Ox hitch extender # BX88265 is not rated for towing, however we do have extenders that are rated for towing. The issue is we don't have any with the exception of the SuperTruss # TLE1524 that will handle a 7500 lb capacity. That extension requires a special hitch receiver.
What you can use is the Curt Ball Mount 3/4" Rise or 2" Drop, Extra Long # D-26. This ball mount has a 7500 lb capacity and is 12-5/8 inches from center of pin hole to center of hitch ball hole. I recommend using # 63847 for a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball or # 63845 for 2 inch ball.
