Trimming Under Body Panel on a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid to Install a Trailer Hitch

2017 Honda Accord hybrid. Has one exhaust on right side of the car. The left side has a bunch of plastic fascia pieces. How do I deal with this? Ive seen multiple places this hitch fits this car but have not seen installation method for dealing with this fascia

The under body panel in question will have to either be removed or trimmed to install a trailer hitch on your 2017 Honda Accord. The area trimmed is approximately 1 inch wide by 6 inches long. I have included a picture from the instructions for the Curt Trailer Hitch instructions for this vehicle, # C11496.
