Question:

I can see that Im not the first person to reach out about this, but I bought one of the 2027 Kia Tellurdide hybrids, model X-Line SX-Prestige AWD. Although this vehicle has 4500lbs towing, self-leveling rear suspension, a tow modeinch and the hole in the back bumper for a trailer hitch receiver to be installed easily, it appears neither the aftermarket world nor the OEM world have manufactured a trailer hitch receiver option yet. I see your website has one available for pre-order with expected delivery in September, which is very helpful. I also see there is a wiring harness that you have linked, however I think I am seeing this harness is only for 4-pin connections? Any word on when there might be a 7-pin connector to accompany the receiver thats expected in September? I have a ~2,900lb dry weight tear camper that fits the weight and hitch weight requirements the Telluride is capable of. That trailer uses a 7-pin connector for brakes and electrical reasons. Thanks for the info!

Hey Bryan, congrats on your new SUV. As of (05/13/26) the Curt Hitch item # C82RJ and the Curt 4-Way connector item # C34MJ are the only parts we know of that are going to be coming out for the new 2027 Kia Tellurides. It's super early in the year though and I am sure shortly after your new Kia Hybrid gets released we'll have some new information on what's available for it. You bought a really popular towing vehicle so I am sure there's going to be an aftermarket 7-way for it. I don't have any idea on a timeline to expect one though.

When are you expecting to pick up your Telluride?

I actually took delivery last week! But sadly it looks like I might not be able to tow anything until September. I'm hopeful some options come available sooner, but we'll see! Thanks for the info.
