Replacement Hinge for Extang Trifecta Tonneau Covers

Question:

I have a Trifecta folding cover and keep breaking one of the back hinges. The part number on the piece with foam is 35440400. Looks like I have to order the tailgate hinge which includes this part. Just checking to make sure this is the right part. Thanks Actually, Ive broken a few of these over the years I just superglue them back together and rotate them whenever they break again! The superglued ones just break from normal wear and tear, so I figure its time to get new ones

You would want the whole hinge assembly, # EX1033, especially if you have frequent breakage like you have described. There could be fatigue to the other components so to ensure maximum longevity I do recommend the whole hinge assembly.

It is possible that this is happening due to the 2 sides of the cover's rails being out of alignment. It would be a good idea to check to make sure the rails are aligned properly so as to minimize stress on the hinges and other components.
